Autumn Term

Welcome to Year 1

This half term we are engaging in a playful topic that looks at toys and how they have changed from the past to the present!
Toys Stock Illustrations – 168,140 Toys Stock Illustrations ...

We had a toy party!

We all brought in our favourite toys and compared them to toys from the past! We learnt that toys from the present can make sounds, move or light up, because of their batteries, most are made of plastic and are colourful. Toys from the past were simpler, mostly made of wood and were fragile.

Computing
We are learning how to put two or more instructions together to make a programmable toy move.
